CATHERINE COE (1810-1874)

| Mary
Catherine Coe was born in 1810 at Spixworth and was the daughter of
John Coe (b.1768) and Catherine Everett. She married blacksmith John
Broughton (b.1809) at Spixworth Parish Church on 9th July 1838. In
1841 she was aged 30 and living at the forge near the church with
her husband, her first child and her parents. In 1851 she was aged
42 and living at the forge at Lone Barn, Spixworth. Sometime before
1861 the Broughtons moved to Norwich and she was living in North Infirmary
Street. In 1871 she was living in Long Row. She died from vomiting
blood on 22nd March 1874, aged 63 in Waterloo, Coslany, Norwich.
