Thomas
Newton Eke was born around 1842 in Corpusty and was the son of Jonas Eke
(1803) and Martha Reynolds. In 1851 he was living with his parents
in Corpusty. In 1861 he was working as a carpenter and living in Corpusty
Street, Corpusty. In 1871 he was living with his widowed mother and
sister Hannah at 27 All Saints Road, Kensington, and working as a
carpenter. He married Emma Huntingford in late 1871. In 1881 he was working as a joiner and living at 27 West Side, Kensington. In 1891 he was working as a carpenter and living at 27 All Saints Road in Kensington. By 1901 he had moved to 22 All Saints Road.
