| Thomas
Eke was born in East Dereham in 1863 and was the son of John Eke (1820)
and Martha Cottrill. In 1881 he was living in Theatre
Street, East Dereham, with his widowed mother. He was an ironmonger's
apprentice He was a policeman in 1891, married Mary Jane May in 1891 in London and was living at 147 Bonett Road in Newington. He died in 1900.
