PETER
MANGNALL (1822 - 1899)

Peter
Mangnall was born in 1822 and christened in Westhoughton on 7th August
1822. He was the son of Lawrence Mangnall (1795) and Imin. In 1841
he was living at Dobb Brow, Deane - later Westhoughton - and working
as a cotton weaver. He married Mary Coop on 4th April 1847 at Deane
Parish Church. In 1851 he was living in Dobb Brow and working as a
silk weaver. In 1861 he was living at the Dams Head in Westhoughton
and working as a silk weaver. In 1871 he was living in Chapel Lane,
Westhoughton, and was working as a carter. He was working as a labourer
in 1876. In 1881 he was a widower and was living at 37 Grundy Street,
Westhoughton. In 1891 he was living at 27 Grundy Street. He died from
cerebral haemorrhage and exhaustion on 5th January 1899 at 6 Leigh
Common, Westhoughton.
