ROSA POMFREY (1869-?)

Rosa Pomfrey was born in 1869 in Langham and was the daughter of Edmund Pomfrey (1843) and Mary Timbers. By 1871 the family had moved to 91 London Road, Kirkley, near Lowestoft. In 1881 she was living at 2 County Villas in Lowestoft. She had left home by 1891 and was working as a housemaid in the household of Frederick W. Bell, a "Manchester" wareshouseman, at Cumberland Lodge, Lewisham. In 1901 Rosa was working as an attendant in the Fulbourn Asylum on the outskirts of Cambridge.
