SAMUEL PEACOCK TIMBERS (1824-1859)
Samuel Peacock Timbers was born on 29th August 1824 at Coltishall and was the son of Matthew Timbers (1801) and Mary Peacock. He married Margaret Eke in the Parish Church in Binham on 23rd December 1844. He was living in Binham and was a shoemaker. He was described as a shoemaker on his daughter's birth certificate in 1845. In 1851 he was working as a shoemaker in the Walsingham area - probably Binham. In 1854 he was listed as a shoemaker working in Westgate, adjoining Binham on the west but, in 1856, a Samuel Timbers was described, in a trades directory, as a grocer in Gaol Street in Great Yarmouth. Samuel's wife, Margaret Eke, certainly died in Gaol Street in 1855. Samuel remarried in 1855, to a widow called Caroline Cockell (née Campbell). Samuel died in 1859.
